You can use this ring as a kickstand by flipping it out and it works quite well. It stays in place at pretty much any angle and supports the phone nicely. Another nice touch is that the ring can be rotated to any angle as well as flipped out to any degree The case has raised edges that protect the front screen, and the back camera lenses. The one downside is the translucent casing doesn’t really let you see your phone color or logo. At $50 MSRP, this is worth a look.

I like the fact that the case is translucent so you can see the logo and markings on the actual phone. I got some pictures to show you thickness, size, and shape of it. As you can see, the lips of the case come up just a tiny bit over the glass of the phone. There's also the ring on the back that can be use to stand up the phone. Keep in mind though, that stand is pretty delicate. Treat it gently. I switched my heavy duty case with this one for a while to fit in pockets easier. I'm willing to forego some of the protection for the thinner case

This is an amazing revision to the initial release where now the stand on the back rotates in 360 degrees giving you ultimate variation in being able to stand up phone in landscape or portrait mode. As well as more options and convenience when using the loop to hold phone while taking pictures or videos. Another addition is the change from rubber to metal buttons for power and volume buttons. Magnetic hold is super strong and the slight see through black back and metal ring really gives this phone a streamlined premium look and feel all around. Like other andobil products, this case is well made, sturdy, and the ring is not flimsy at all. While not advertised as a "grip" ring, it does function well enough as a support during one-handed use very very well. The MagSafe function is well implemented, and blends extremely well with the 360 operation of the ring. If you're familiar with andobil's other ring-grips, you will NOT be disappointed with this case at all. The entire package is compact, light, and has worked with every MagSafe mount & accessory I have tested it with. The price compared to other brands is an additional perk that cannot be overlooked.
